This one is published by Hellbound Books. I picked the stories I wanted from the submissions that were sent in and the order they would run in the book. I also gave the cover designer, Kevin Enhart the spec of how I wanted it to look. It’s a collection of horror tales from British authors. I think you will enjoy it.
There is something quite special about this fine collection of tales of terror from the Sceptered Isle, each and every one crafted in the dead of the night by twisted, fevered minds, who have brought crawling and slithering to life the darkest denizens of the blackest shadows to terrify those brave souls amongst you who dare to read…
For your delectation, Dear Reader, we have assembled together between these illustrious covers an array of the finest British authors writing today:
Guy N. Smith, James H Longmore, David Owain Hughes, Kevin J Kennedy,
Ross Baxter, C. Bailey-Bacchus,
Justin Boote, Munib Haroon, Lex H Jones, Michael Byrne, Lee Franklin, J. C. Michael, Bill Davidson, Andrew J Lucas, Nick Stead, David Turnbull, Michael Chapman,
Richard Farren Barber
It’s the perfect time of year to pick up a copy of Collected Christmas Horror Shorts 1 & 2 if you haven’t already. Over the last few months I’ve been really busy finishing up the anthologies that I was putting together. Collected Christmas Horror Shorts 2, The Horror Collection: Gold Edition & Carnival of Horror are all now available and doing well. Made in Britain, the british themed horror antho that I put together for Hellbound Books is going through final edits and should be available within the next few weeks.
I’ve decided to focus more on writing for the next little while so I’m putting a hold on the anthos. When I return to them I will either start with a second 100 Word Horrors or The Horror Collection: Black Edition. In regards to writing, I’m closing in on the end of a novella that I’ve been working on for the last year with Christina Bergling and I’m at the very start of another that I am writing with Andrew Lennon. I’ve also decided to extend my short story ‘Halloweenland’ from Collected Halloween Horror Shorts into a novella. The story has always received great feedback and several people have said they would love to see more from the characters. It’s one of my favourite stories so I’m taking my time to make sure I like the extended version as much as the original short. I have stories accepted to several Anthos and there are a few more I plan on writing subs for if I have time but I’d like to get a few longer pieces out there too.
Been watching a lot of movies recently. Some better than others. I really enjoyed Bohemian Rhapsody, Tag, Ghost Stories and The Outlaw King. I gave up on A Star is Born half way through and tried the new Sabrina series and quit half way through the first episode. The Haunting of Hill House was another box set I watched and thought was absolutely superb.
I’ve been reading Hell Divers 4 by Nicholas Sansbury Smith, Man Eating Fuckers 3 by David Owain Hughes (ARC), Bird Box by Josh Malerman, Clickers Forever tribute antho, Big Bang Over the Western General by Mark Flemming and Monsters and Animals by Wrath James White. I’m just jumping between them all as I don’t get as much reading time as I would like. If you want to check out my thoughts on them when I’m finished, just follow me on Goodreads.
Not too much else to report right now but I’ll be back when I have some more updates.
