Screechers 2 Artwork

Some of these creatures will be in Screechers 2 and some might not make the cut but I thought I would post them for those of you who read and enjoyed book 1. Book 2 is under way and book 1 is available now. Links below. Artwork by Phil Beachler. Both books co-written with Christina Bergling.

More artwork to come soon.

Screechers – New Post-Apocalyptic novella.

In the apocalyptic fallout of the burned world, the screecher is a massive beast evolved to kill and built for survival. One screecher abandons its home among the crushed remnants of a city and moves to explore the wider world. Unbeknownst to it, one of its surviving nephews decides to tag along.

Far away, across the dusty sand dunes, three men flee the smoldering ashes of their community along with their regrets, looking for a new place to survive.

These two stories, of screechers and humans, alternate and dance around each other before the creatures and men intersect and weave into one story.

In the scorched remains, everything struggles to survive. The end of the world produced mutated monsters beyond imagination. When worlds collide, when man meets monster, who will survive in this new world?

What others said about the book:
“With apoc-wolves, giant crabs, and new-world carnage, Screechers is a bloody ripper of a tale.” – Lee Murray, two-time Bram Stoker Award nominee and author of Into the Mist

A tale of beast and man – the perfect combination of beauty and brutality. This story gives you unexpected friendships, terrifying beasts and one of the best battles I’ve ever read. – Andrew Lennon, author of Ode to Death

“Screechers is full of badass creatures, engaging characters and great action as well. A fun, fast read.” – Mike Duke, author of Where the Gods Sleep

Old-school action packed post-apocalyptic sci fi pulp at its screeching best! Must read for fans of the genre – C.S. Anderson, author of Ocean Gores

Coming later this year.

I get asked often if I will ever extend Halloweenland from Collected Halloween Horror Shorts. I decided it was time to do it. The novella entitled Halloween Land will be with you in a few months. Now you can finally find out what happens next.

Some upcoming releases

I have a few books planned for release over the next few weeks. 100 Word Horrors Part 2, The Horror Collection: Black Edition & Screechers. Screechers is a novella I co wrote with Christina Bergling and while I don’t have the cover for it yet, I’ve put a little sneak peak of the art below.

I’m working hard to finish the last few touches on each book and will have them with you as soon as possible.

A wee update-areeno

2018 was a good year and I decided I wanted to do even more in 2019. I’m currently putting book 2 of the 100 Word Horror’s series together and plan to have it released by late Feb. I’m also close to finishing the Black Edition of The Horror Collection. The Gold Edition has been really well received.

The novella I have been mentioning from time to time that I am co-writing with Christina Bergling is now finished. Christina is just having a last read through and then we will get it out to some beta readers to see what they think. Oh, we have a name for it now. Screechers.

I have short stories in 5 upcoming anthologies and several others awaiting feedback so I’m keeping busy. When the two current anthos are complete I will be turning my attention back to the extension of Halloweenland from Collected Halloween Horror Shorts. I’ve had a lot of people tell me they would have loved it to be longer and that they wanted to know what happens next. Now you will find out. Hoping to have this one available in the next few months.

Watched a few good movies recently. ‘Green Book’ was a good watch & ‘Michael Inside’ was superb. I enjoyed Only the Brave too but it was slow.

Been watching a UK show called 2 Doors Down which is hilarious but I’m caught up to the current series so now I need to watch just one a week.

In other news I was excited to heat that there was a Breaking Bad movie being made. Looking forward to that one.

That’s about it for now. Until next time…
